Tracy Anne Timby, J.D, MS is a partner in the law firm of TimbyHunt, LLC located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Ms. Timby is a Certified Mediator for the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas and a trained Family Law Mediator. Although her practice is devoted primarily to mediation and family law issues, Ms. Timby has gained valuable experience serving as a mediator for district justice courts within Bucks County.
Prior to receiving her law degree, Ms. Timby received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore. Through her graduate studies she gained training and experience in all types of conflict resolution. She has over ten years of family law experience and has been a lifelong resident of Bucks County. Ms. Timby has represented her clients in family mediations frequently over this ten year period, and in most of the cases, a successful outcome was achieved.
Dedicated to serving the community, Ms. Timby serves as the Program Director for the Paralegal program of Bucks County Community College and is the Co-Executive Director of an intergovernmental program focused on quality of life issues in Bucks County. Teaching in a Community College affords Ms. Timby the opportunity to continually educate people about the benefits of mediation. The opportunity to spread the word about mediation also arose in her work as an online family law course developer for Thompson West and is one of her duties as the Chairperson of the Community Legal Education Committee for the Bucks County Bar Association.
As a result of her work experience, training and education, Ms. Timby believes that families going through divorce are capable of creating a new family dynamic without going through the courts. Through mediation couples can come to agreements which are right for their particular situations and not simply the result of financially and emotionally draining litigation.
