Professional Experience

1998-2000 The Law Offices of Silverman & Weissberg, A Partnership of Professional Associations
As a founding member of the firm, Mr. Weissberg was primarily engaged in the practice of family law and divorce. In addition, Mr. Weissberg handled a wide variety of cases in areas ancillary to the family law arena including real estate and business transactions, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant matters, and commercial litigation. Beginning in 1998, Mr. Weissberg began to use mediation to resolve cases for the benefit of his family law clients. It was at this point that his appreciation for the value of mediation for clients, families and children was reinforced by his experience virtually every time he relied on the mediation process on behalf of his clients.

2000-2002 WermuthLaw, P.A.
At WermuthLaw, P.A., Mr. Weissberg primarily handled a majority of the firm's litigation needs in all areas. While his primary practice area was concentrated in the family law and divorce arena, Mr. Weissberg continued to also represent clients in a variety of real estate, business and commercial matters, both in the litigation and transactional arenas. Mr. Weissberg continued to utilize mediation on behalf of his divorce clients as a means to promptly and equitable resolve these cases for the benefit of his clients, their families and their children.

2002-Present The Law Offices of Craig E. Weissberg, P.A.
In 2002, Mr. Weissberg re-established his private practice as a sole practitioner. Since then he has been developing the firm by concentrating on the growth of his family law practice. During this period he has successfully represented clients in a multitude of family law original and enforcement proceedings, including divorce, paternity, modification, and enforcement actions dealing with issues of child custody, primary residence, timesharing and visitation, parental responsibility, relocation, child support, alimony or spousal support, property division, and the equitable distribution of assets and liabilities. Mr. Weissberg continues to be a strong proponent of the immeasurable benefits of mediation, and actively participates, both as an advocate on behalf of his clients, and as a mediator for others, in order to minimize the impact of acrimonious litigation on the family unit. Mr. Weissberg is committed to assisting parties in formulating effective, family-oriented solutions while avoiding the expense and destructive effects of protracted litigation.
