William H. Donahue, Jr. is a nationally recognized speaker on divorce mediation. His book, "Reconcilable Differences: A Consumer's Guide to Divorce Mediation," explains the basic principles underlying mediation, and shows how couples with whom he has worked were able to use those principles in mediation to resolve their own divorces.

Education and Training

Public Service

William H. Donahue, Jr. lectures on legal and mediation topics for the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, and chairs the association's Peer Consultation and Youth committees. He also chairs the New Jersey Youth Peace Building Coalition.

He regularly makes appearances on public service television and radio programs to discuss the benefits of mediation as an important, but still underutilized form of dispute resolution.

He recently organized a series of free public workshops on Divorce Mediation, which is sponsored by the South Jersey Chapter of NJAPM. At the workshops, which are held in public libraries around South Jersey, members of the Association and guest speakers discuss divorce mediation principles. He also organized and maintains a speakers' bureau, which provides free speakers to civic, church, charity, professional, and business organizations to help educate the public on the various ways mediation can be used to resolve disputes in almost any area of life. The bureau operates under the sponsorship of NJAPM, and the speakers are members of the association.
